Mason is finally here!

Well, he arrived over a week ago, but really, who can post, take pictures, play with a toddler, feed an infant and do all that other mom stuff in a timely manner?  It is a lot of work even with two moms here doing laundry, cooking, cleaning, and running around with Blaire. 
At 7:12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 I began having contractions and by 9:35 p.m. Mason was here.  He weighed 7 lbs 9 oz, and was 20 1/2 inches long.  Blaire got to spend the night at the Andrews' house and thought it was absolutely wonderful.  I think she would move in with them if she could.

We gave Mason his first bath on Sunday, February 5th.   Blaire said she wanted to help; so we pulled up a chair to the sink to let her help, but she ended up getting one of her baby dolls and taking the sponge we were using to wash Mason and began washing her baby.  She was so proud of herself for bathing her baby.  It was so cute.

Blaire's baby doll was probably cleaned better than Mason.  We were so timid with his umbilical cord and circumcision, but everyone survived the event.
