Who knew a $10 bathtub could be so much fun?

Rubber Ducky You're the One.......
Mason started sitting up on his own in early August, so we decided to pull out the yellow duck bathtub. Blaire and Mason have enjoyed playing in it in the hallway and in the tub.
Mason meets food
July 29th we gave Mason food. We got home from church and prepared the baby rice cereal according to package directions, sat Mason in the Bebe pod, put a bib on and Mason turned up his nose. He did not enjoy the rice cereal at all.

So, day two of food we switched to butternut squash. This was enjoyed much more than the rice cereal.
Day 3 of food, day 2 of butternut squash and his smile just gets bigger and bigger.
We have introduced all sorts of fruits and veggies. The only one he seems to not really like are green beans, but everything else he loves. In Washington state over Labor Day weekend, we had fresh picked blueberries and those seem to be Mason's favorite food so far. He also likes broccoli, peaches, carrots, and bananas.
He is ready to eat anything we will let him. Blaire is ready to feed him too. One day she fed him an m&m. She was so proud of herself for feeding Mason. He was not so happy with momma when she dug out what was left of the m&m. The candy that melts in your mouth is so true.

Whoa! What happened to May and June?
So, once again, a long time has passed since I have posted anything. Time just goes by so fast and with Blaire not taking naps anymore, I just can't get on the computer until after both kids are in bed and well, by that point, I am exhausted and ready for bed. But, we do have big news.....
Since our last posting, Mason has done two firsts both at 4 months of age.
The first week of June our dear Melissa visited us for the week and she had to endure lots of fussiness and crying that is just not normal for my sweet little Mason. Well, while she was here Mason's two bottom teeth broke through. Poor boy! But he sure is cute when he smiles with those two little teeth.
Then, this past Monday, Mason rolled over. He was laying on the floor under his little gym and started to roll to the side like he has done so many times, but this time, he propped his feet on the bar that arches overhead and pushed offed just enough to roll over. Yay Mason!!!!
On Wednesday he did successfully rollover from his back to his belly without using any leverage.
Now, not to be out done; Ms. Blaire is also doing blog-worthy acts. When Jon or I are holding Mason, Blaire will come up and put her arms around the two of us and start saying, "we are family!" or "we are best friends."
In early June we took Mason to the zoo for his first time. He could have cared less, but Blaire had a blast. We first went to see the elephants. Blaire said, "they stink!" So we moved on.

Then it was time to milk the cows. Yep, Blaire actually got to try and simulate milking a cow. She ended up just squirting water on herself. But she loved it. We had to go back multiple times to the barn and "water the cow."
The last thing we did was go for a pony ride. Yee Haw!
So the next day, to relive the exciting pony ride, Blaire threw on her Belle dress, put on her cowgirl hat (curtesy of Aunt Brenda), her light-up Belle shoes, and of course she had to have a pony to ride.
Mason thought she looked pretty funny.
The Memorial Day weekend Mason was Baptised and the grandparents and aunt and uncles came in for the celebration. Well, our house is not big enough to sleep everyone, so Nana and Paw Paw and Aunt Brenda and Uncle Keith got rooms at a hotel.....it had a POOL!
So we had to go swimming. Blaire was so excited she put on her tinkerbell swimsuit, pink swim coverup, and goggles, all just for the ride to the hotel. So we had to take a picutre.
The day of Mason's Baptism. He was not nearly as joyed at the occassion as we were.
Mason's first time in his Bebe Pod sitter. He is not to sure about it, but he gets into it.
(No he is not in his room, his carseat and diaper bag just seem to take up permenent residence in our kitchen.)
"If only this darn thing would fit in my mouth!"
Every princess needs a good set of tools.
Time to Play Ball!
It is more like golf than baseball, but she gets the idea...hit a ball, any ball, with the bat.
Blaire loves to give Mason kisses. We usually can't get the camera out and on in time to catch Blaire being so sweet and loving, but this day we were already taking pictures so we caught a kiss.
It never fails that when Mason is ready to eat, Blaire decides she needs me. She never has a real thing that she needs or wants me to do, she just needs me and then she usually ends up following me into Mason's room and plays or has me read her a book while I am feeding Mason. I guess Blaire has spent enough time watching me feed Mason that she now thinks that is how she should feed her babies. Blaire was playing with her dolls and said, "Mommy, its time to feed baby. Come on." So I followed her to her room expecting her to put her doll into its highchair. Instead, she walked into Mason's room, got in the glider, pulled up the boppy, and put her doll on top and started to rock back and forth. I just don't know how telling this photo is of my expression when I am feeding.
One day she took evert single book out of her bookshelf and put them in the entryway and then went to her bedroom and climbed into her bookshelf.
Mason: 5 months old
(I can't believe he is already 5 months old.)
